Valentino would have to be one of my favorite brands to lust over. I mean it's definitely up there with Chanel on the "brands I would love to own everything from" list. I've been in love with the Valentino Rockstud shoes since I first laid eyes on them. I even visit them every time I go to Saks, you know just in case they magically lowered the price or something. And just when I thought the Rockstud collection couldn't get any better, they reintroduced it in red. Pure perfection.

Old Favorites
What I'm Wearing: Shorts Free People, Similar | Tee Splendid, Similar | Vest Fluxus | Shoes Converse
Today was one of those "I have nothing new to wear so I'll throw on some old favorites" days. These shorts are the perfect denim cut-offs. You know I love a good floral, and the length and amount of rips is just right. Then there's this tee, which I had almost forgot I had. My closet can really be a black hole sometimes. The zips on the sleeves set it apart from just your average t-shirt. And because I felt the outfit needed a little something more I threw on this black vest.

Jumpin' Jumpin'
I'm in love with my new overalls! First of all, I love the light wash denim color. Second, I love the fact that they are almost a hybrid jumpsuit/overall. They have the top of an overall, but the cinched waist, and the more tailored pants fit a little more like a jumpsuit. They are perfect, because they are overalls that are super flattering due to the tighter bottom. And since the overalls should be the star of the outfit I kept it simple with a white crop top and converse.

More Of The Same
Today's outfit is more of the same casual summer wear. I'll admit, while I do try to change it up as much as I can, I do end up coming back to my favorite pieces. I mixed in a new tank from my recent trip to Aritzia (How amazing is that color?) to some of my favorite summer staples. Converse always keep it cool and leather shorts are a must to add to any outfit.

Quotable Clothing
I went shopping at Aritzia this weekend and picked up so many goodies for fall. One of my favorite pieces, though, has to be this shirt. Who doesn't love a cute tee with a great message? And army green is my color, so that's a nice bonus too. (Although, it did come in other colors too) This skirt is so adorable too, can't wait to wear it with tights and a sweater.

Getaway
Sorry for no post on Friday, I was on vacation at the Mohonk Mountain House. It was absolutely beautiful and so much fun. I'm shooting more outfit pictures today, but for now enjoy some vacation pictures. The pictures include views from the hotel, views from a mountaintop, some pictures of the craziest hike of my life (it's called the lemon squeeze, feel free to google and see what it was), and, yes, a whole family selfie. In case you were wondering my leopard print dress is Free People, and as for my workout gear the top is Nike and the shorts and sports bra are Reebok.

When All Else Fails..
When all else fails, wear all black. You really can't go wrong, it matches, it's slimming, it just always works. Of course in the summer black on black could get a little hot, but we all make sacrifices in the name of fashion, right? Seriously, though, this little $11 crop top I picked up at the beginning of the summer could be one of my greatest purchases. It works with everything. Perfect with shorts, skirts, overalls, and when worn well, shows just enough skin without being over the top.

You In Those Little High Waisted Shorts
Whenever I feel like I have nothing left to wear I always grab something old in my closet that I haven't worn in forever and try to style it. So, when I was taking pictures this weekend and didn't know what to wear, I dug through my closet to find these shorts. And they're so cute, I love a good high-waisted anything plus the print is so unique. I kept it simple in a black tee and some sandals.
P.S. This title is based off the song Sweater Weather by the Neighbourhood, and if you don't listen to them, you should. Definitely my favorite band at the moment.

Dip Dyed
These weird weather days always leave me very confused on what to wear. I want to be wearing shorts and tanks, but then a breeze comes in and I just don't know what to do with myself. But, no more worries, I have found the perfect solution. Shorts and a button down. (As seen previously, here) It's so easy to wear and perfect for those days when it's a little cooler. Bonus if the sleeves roll up, because you really never know when the sun might decide to make an appearance.

Fireworks
If only I had this outfit for the Fourth of July, huh? I really love this shirt though, it just feels so summery and fun to me. And these white shorts, I got way more use out of them this summer then I ever thought I would. Such a great summer staple. The white shoes, too. Perfect for adding a touch of sophistication to a summer look.

Fall has officially invaded stores. Although we still to have a good amount of warm weather left (I feel like people forget we still wear shorts in September) most of us are ready for fall. And a new season means new trends. The ones I've seen the most, and am most excited to wear are plaid, animal print, and leather. I love the punk vibes on all the mannequins wearing plaid. Animal print is always fun. And who doesn't love leather, I know I certainly want a lot of it in my fall wardrobe. Only thing is, leather is an expensive trend. I even saw mannequins wearing cheetah print and red plaid, so amazing. I can't wait to try every combination of these fall trends.
Above is my "dream fall closet but not going to happen because it's all so expensive" wish list. And while it's fun to stare at beautiful expensive clothing, you can check out my more affordable fall picks when you click "read more."
