¡Cabo!

I'm going to Cabo on Sunday and I'm beyond excited! I'm can't wait for a week of warm weather and relaxation. And of course an important part of any trip is the packing list. So shop some of what I'll be packing above.

Winter?

Normally at this time of year outerwear would be an essential part of any outfit, however, with this warmer weather I've barely been able to wear my coats. Now, I'm definitely not mad about the warmer weather, but I would like a chance to wear my winter clothes. We've had a few cold days that almost felt like winter where I've gotten to wear this coat. Shearling is such a big trend this year, and not only does it look good but it's incredibly warm as well. Plus the coat I'm wearing above doesn't come with the insane price tag many shearling pieces have. And while we wait for colder temperatures I've just been wearing my coats open for a less bundled up look.

Getting dressed has been quite a challenge lately since we've been having such warm temperatures. But I guess it just means we can wear our fall favorites for even longer. I love the idea of a fur vest because it's a statement piece thats so easy to throw on and make any outfit feel special. And it works on it's own during this rare warm weather, but can easily be layered once the cooler temperatures return.

Music Monday | Woman Woman

Woman Woman is today's Music Monday because of my excitement that Awolnation has named it their next single. It is one of my favorite songs on the album, but let's face it, every song on the album (Run) is one of my favorites, because it's that good.

Sorry for the lack of posts lately, it's the end of the semester and I've been crazy busy. But I'm going to try to be better! This is one of my favorite dresses in my closet right now. It's so versatile. It can be worn on it's own or layered like above with a turtleneck and even just a tee in warmer weather. I'm definitely going to be wearing it all winter long with some tights and boots.

I love fall because it's when we get to break out the leather. These faux leather leggings are the perfect way to add some edge to any look. I particularly love them as styled above, with a chunky sweater and some suede boots.

I've found the secret to ultimate comfiness, knit pants. And why not do knit pants in this season's silhouette, the culotte? Music Monday | Mess Around

Cage the Elephant is one of my favorite bands so I have been patiently (or maybe impatiently) waiting for them to release new music. And it was worth the wait. I'm even more excited for their new album than ever. Now I'm gonna go play this on repeat until December 18th, when the full album is out.

Give Me Space

It was impossible to pass up this adorable spacey sweatshirt that reads "give me space".  And it is just as amazingly comfy as it looks. I love the idea of taking a sweatshirt and making it something other than strictly casual wear. Paired with a suede skirt and sneakers, it's the perfect mix of comfy and cute. 

Dressing For Fall

While in the past I couldn't imagine an outfit that didn't include a pair of jeans, lately I've been wearing no pants at all. I bought so many skirts and dresses this season and I am loving them so much. Of course jeans will always be a staple in my wardrobe, but I do love the dress/skirt and white sneakers look, so easy and perfect for these fall temperatures.

Over The Knee

I never really thought I'd embrace the over the knee boot, mostly because of my height. But I've always loved the look and with every marketing email i received telling me it was the shoe of the season, I figured it was time to invest. Luckily I found these amazing, expensive-looking ones, without the huge price tag. I love them with a dress or a skirt, and I can't wait to dress them down with a pair of jeans as well.

Fall Short

I had thought shorts season was over until I found these amazing suede ones. I figure shorts work the same as a mini skirt, wear them like this now, add over the knee boots or tights and a long sleeve shirt later.

I saw Andrew McMahon perform an acoustic set at Firefly Music Festival, and I can honestly say he is one of the most talented musicians I've ever seen live. His first single Cecilia And The Satellite was amazing, and the rest of the album is too. This song is one of my favorites, so listen and enjoy.

There's nothing I love more than suede for this fall. And this dress is the perfect easy to wear silhouette that every wardrobe needs. Seriously, there's no easier or better way to get dressed than this. Comfy and cute, I'd call that a win-win.
